Charles asks…What do you think of my method for winning roulette? Why/why not?I want to try this on my first trip to Vegas in a couple of weeks. I've been thinking about it for a long time but haven't yet had the guts to try. I'm assuming that the table is fair and true so each ball is as random as possible. So here it is:
Any single number bet-on pays 35:1 ($5 bet wins $175)
If I bet on 18 of the 38 numbers, I have a 47% chance of winning, right? (assuming a fair table)
With a $5 bet on
